Certificates of Origin

Certificate of Origin verifies to the buyer the country in which goods were produced or manufactured. The evidence of the origin is a required for customs or commercial reasons – to attain favourable duties at point of customs clearance, or may be required as one of documents typically required in LC transaction.

In the United Kingdom Certificates of Origin” are issued by British Chamber of Commerce. There is no legal requirement to use the local chamber of commerce, exporter or their authorise agents are free to use the chamber of their choice. We normally use London Chamber of Commerce and Industries for our customers.


Arab Certificates of Origin

Arab Certificate of Origin is issued for goods shipped to Arab League countries and verifies to the buyer the country in which goods were produced or manufactured. The evidence of the origin is a required for customs or commercial reasons. Arab Certificate of Origin are issued for following Arab League countries:

EUR1 Movement Certificate

EUR1 movement certificate is used to claim preferential duty rates on goods exported to countries that have a preferential trading agreement with the EU or between the UK and participating countries. The goods being shipped under a EUR1 must originate (wholly produced or sufficiently processed) from the U.K to countries where trade agreements exist. Shipments which are not accompanied with a EUR1 movement certificate will be liable for 3rd country import duty rate. The following countries has preferential trade agreements with the EU.

ATA Carnet

Admission Temporaire or Temporary Admission (ATA) Carnet is used to temporarily export commercial samples, trade fair or exhibition goods and professional equipment for use outside the UK without paying customs duties to certain countries. Temporarily export of motor vehicles are not covered under ATA Carnet, instead it is covered under Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD). ATA carnets are valid in the following countries:
